Our business is more than building homes- it’s building the lifestyle for your family.
This is how we turn your dream home into a reality in ten steps.
Step 1. Personal Consultation
We begin each process with a personalised meeting. You can expect us to be upfront and transparent because we believe in easy, transparent communication.
Step 2. Choose from our three design options
You can:
*A fee applies to this service.
Step 3. Presentation of your new-home estimate
We will give you a realistic price based on our high level of standard inclusions- containing the floor plan and site plan, with any other developer requirements.
Step 4. Give the green light
Once you give us the green light on your proposal and an initial part-deposit is made, we get down to the nuts and bolts. We prepare the contract drawings (plans), full inclusions schedule, and your final contract.
Step 5. Sign the Contract
We provide you with a full price in the contract- including all inclusions and site costs. This is a Blackett Homes point of difference.
With your finances in order (usually conditional to approved plans and variation), you review and sign the contract, and we prepare the other relevant approval documentation for you.
Step 6. Select finishes/ finalise kitchen
Now it gets fun! You choose your exterior and interior finishes and finalise the layout of your kitchen. Our in-house designer can guide you through your decision making process to ensure all the elements of your home compliment each other.
Step 7. Flag any final changes
The pre-construction meeting with a member of our project team is the chance for you to flag any minor, last minute changes to your inclusions – and ask any questions or seek clarification about the building process before it begins.
Step 8. Construction begins!
Documentation and approvals? Done! That means its time to get your camera ready- construction can officially begin on your site. As your new home comes together, our customer liaison manager will be your point-of-contact to keep you informed throughout the build.
Step 9. Pre-handover Inspection
A pre-handover inspection allows you to visit your new home with our site manager to ensure everything is as planned.
Step 10. Move into your new home
Congratulations! We have received your final payment and it is time to pick up the keys.
To ensure a smooth, stress-free transition, we strongly recommend you secure building insurance prior to collecting your keys because our building insurance will no longer cover you.
We’re still here
Yes, you have moved into your new home but the team at Blackett Homes is still here to support you. We invite you to contact our construction manager, should your new home require maintenance service during the 90-day maintenance period.
